Winter Wonderland 2010

Where I live we have a military base called Fort Chaffee...and they always are doing something cute...
makes up for the major booming that i hear when they are practicing

They have a Haunted House in October which was just on Ghost Adventures ..pretty cool..wierd stuff happened to my TV when i tried to watch it.

In the Winter this year they made a Winter Wonderland...
So we went to go check it out...

I know they are rough looking because i took with my phone..i am noticing that i use my camera less and less..now that i have my new phone...it takes pretty good pictures..good enough to record memories...

Happy Birthday to my Husband!

So his birthday was actually on December 18th...but as we all know I am behind...so keep on running with me!
He gets everything he wants throughout the year ..so I always have no clue what to get him...so this year we had a party at my mom's ...she cooked him whatever dinner he asked for...which was Chicken fried steak with white gravy and lemon pepper potatoes..
yes..you get specifically what you ask for when you has my husband a question.
So we got him a camo hunting cake ...from a woman that just makes cakes on the side...LOVELY!!
She did an amazing job!! and it tasted GREAT! He was really suprised and said he didn't even want to eat it because it looked so good. :)

Lyla had to taste it...the icing on the outside was peanut butter..

I absolutely love this picture! They are both looking at me..and smiling..I love it!

I know this isn't the healthiest thing for a two year old..but it was one drink and she thought it was absolutely amazing to drink out of the bottle...and hey...we were partying!!

Christmas light show

There is an amazing house in a town about 30 minutes away that has a ton of Christmas lights that dance with the music. You tune your radio to a certain station and just sit and watch the lights!
I love it!
We go every year!
This year he added alot more stuff...he had a snow blower and a train...it is good.
And the man that does it..dresses up like Santa and gives all the kids candy canes!
The only negative is..the line...the line is forever long to see it...but you get some good family bonding time in while you wait..and it is So worth the wait!!

Now that we are in the New Year of 2011 I wanted to throw in some pictures that I haven't had the chance to post.
I am kinda behind in my posting...
I am having gall bladder problems. My mom told me every woman in our family has had to have thiers taken out after thier first child...so I guess I am just following suit...but I have never had any kind of health problems..nor have I ever had any kind of surgery..so I am a bit nervous.
I know it will hurt when I get home to recover...and I know I will be tender and have to be slow for a while...but I do NOT like having to be put to sleep.
well..before Lyla..I didn't mind it. But now after I have a baby..I dont' like the risk.
But I really have no option...no option but to pray that everything goes fine and I wake up like normal.

So keep me in your thoughts on Tuesday...that is when I have my surgery.
Another thing that is aggrevating is we have been off schedule at the preschool I work at. I love having down time...but I was getting excited to get back in the classroom and really start working on things and getting our schedule back together. We were going to start working on writing our names. The kids are always so excited to see thier name in print. We have really cool dry erase boards where they can practice and practice. So I am actually going to miss not being at work.

I have to say though my bosses are amazing. No questions asked...no making me feel guilty..Just let me completely off work..to get better and heal slowly. So much better than where I used to work. My old boss would have completely made me reschedule my ultrasound because it was in the middle of the day...and she would have griped me out that my surgical consultation was in the middle of the day and probably wouldn't have let me go. Then I would be on the crap list for having to take off a week to get my gall bladder out...oh...I can't believe I stayed at that place for SO long...the kids...that's why! I am just so happy I am where I am now.

So now that I have blubbered on about random stuff....here are a few pictures to finish up this year and start with a brand new 2011!! I am excited to see what this year brings!! Lyla is getting so big...talking so much more...and we are really becoming best friends!! I love it!
