My humble opinion on Boston and our world
Today is a wonderful day here in small town Arkansas. The weather is beautiful, the birds are singing and you can smell the grass of freshly mowed lawns.
Needless to say "baby girl" and I have spent most of our day outside soaking in all this wonderful day has to offer. When we come inside for a drink or a rest .. I hop on Facebook or Bloglovin to see what is happening in the internet world. Every feed, every post, and picture is praying for Boston. I pray for Boston.
As I enjoy the wonderful day with my daughter I almost start to feel guilty because there are many people that aren't enjoying today. I feel scared and pure fear about what this world is going to be like when my daughter gets older. I fear sending her to school without me... or an assault rifle.. I fear about someone breaking in the house...I fear...
And everytime something like this happens..I feel like it justifies my fear.
This morning in my bible study we researched Psalms 118:24
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
It seems almost laughable.
Just like the day of Sandy Hook or 9/11 ..how can you rejoice in a day like this?
I have come to think, in my humble opinion that this Planet Earth has quickly become Job.
Not Job..not an 8-5 daily office work
But Job as in the perfect man that God allowed Satan to "try" to break and tear down.
"Skin for Skin!" Says Satan in Job 2:4-5 (NIV) "A man will give all he has for his own flesh. But now stretch out your own hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse you to your face."
In Job 2:6 God tells Satan (NIV) "Very well, then he is in your hands; but you must spare his life."
God let Satan have free reign on Job...to do what he wanted as long as he didn't take his life.
Lately it seem like our Earth has become Job. It seems like God has let Satan have free reign on us....on our flesh and bones. When children are hurt..we all hurt.. we all become mothers and fathers in that moment of time...and we mourn..we cry out and ask "WHY?"
But....
If you keep reading in Job 11:13-20 (MSG) it says:
Still if you set your heart on God
and reach out to him
If you scrub your hands of sin
and refuse to entertain evil in your home
You'll be able to face the world unashamed
and keep a firm grip on life, guiltless and fearless
You'll forget your troubles
Your world will be washed in sunshine
We have always had tragedy...We will have more.. We will have shootings, bombings, drugs, human trafficking...That will always be apart of this world..because there is an ever going battle between good and evil. I choose not to tell "baby girl" about it.. and I do not let her watch it on TV. I am an avid watcher of Dr Phil and I agree when he says that we shouldn't bring children into adult situations. I believe Boston is an adult situation and I choose to protect my child's innocence for as long as I can.
So while I am struggling over the loss of a community, loss of children, loss of humanity...how do I rejoice in this day that the Lord has made?
I can rejoice that there are helpers like Mr Rogers Mom tells us to look for...
I can rejoice that evil will not overcome
I can rejoice that every time something like this happens..the world seems to look toward Jesus for help.
I Rejoice that Jesus will be there to comfort, heal and give peace to those that need it.
I rejoice in my family
I rejoice in the sunshine!
Rejoice in this day and be glad in it!

bringing faith to life
I have a confession.
When I wake up in the morning one of the first things I do is look at my iPhone.
Love me or Hate me...that's what I do.
No apologies!
I usually look at the news app and weather app to "prepare" for my day. Then I go to my Feedler app to read any new blog posts.
Well this morning I came across Kelly's blog post about this link up called "Build 'em Up"
I am not really into the Fashion Friday or Menu Monday linkys ....not because they are bad...but because I have no fashion and I don't make a menu...so there isn't much out there for me...
Until I came across this.
If there is one thing that I can link up about in a discussion ..it is my faith.
I love having those very tense religious discussions...only I don't feel tense because I'm not trying to "win" anyone over to my side..and I really take an interest in what others believe. I mean who's to say that either one of us is 100% right?
I believe that this is the first edition of this linky and the "theme" is
Bringing Faith to Life
How do I bring my faith to life?
I have been thinking on this for a while now which reminds me that I love how God works in my life. I usually have a topic just fluttering in my head and then one day when I sit down to read or play on the computer that topic is all over the place.
Lately that topic is being the wife, mother....Woman..that God wants me to be. The woman that I want to be an example for my daughter.
Earlier this year I wrote a post about finding me in 2013
I had realized that before my husband left for Basic Training..that I was making so many excuses not to clean or do laundry...I just wanted to rest.
Is that the woman that I want my daughter to become?
Absolutely not!
Once my husband was gone...I loved finding his random shirts in the laundry to fold and put away. I was happy to do it. I missed cooking big meals for all of us to eat.
All thing things I wanted rest from..I missed.
Yesterday I was stalking Courtney's new blog and watching all her videos that she posted when I came across her Proverbs 31 bible study. I had known for a while that she had that on her blog and on every email when you subscribe to her blog..but I just ignored it.
I didn't really want to be a Proverbs 31 Woman..it looked exhausting.and I didn't have the energy for it.
How humbling is this? How pathetic was I? Oh my word!
I don't want my daughter to see me hating folding her clothes, dreading cooking dinner, putting off mopping the floors.
I want my daughter to see me take pride in our home, lovingly fold my husband's clothes, have her help me make dinner...
I want her to know that being a mother and taking care of your home is an important job...a prideful job...a respectable job!
This video was my "awakening"
So I downloaded Courtney's bible study on the Proverbs 31 woman.. rounded up a few women and we are doing a 14 week bible study on this woman! And I am overjoyed!
So to bring my faith to life is to LIVE MY FAITH
Live my role that God set out for me.
I am so excited to step into that role and get started!!!

Praying Circles Around Your Children: Book Review
Have you heard of the Good Morning Girls?
If you haven't I encourage you to go check them out.
They have Bible studies throughout the year and I actually lead a group of women in each study that we do. We have a closed Facebook group where we post our thoughts and prayer requests. It is so inspiring to talk to those ladies and pray alongside them.
In my first Bible Study to lead one of us found the book Praying Circles Around your Children by Mark Batterson for free..so I decided to check it out. Right now on Amazon it is only $1.99..so go grab it!! It is definitely worth $1.99!
Loved it! Lately I have been reading a lot of self help books. I am not sure why..God knows I guess..because this book blessed me.
I did a review on Hayley Morgan's book "The No Brainer Blog" here if you would like to check that out too.
This book had so much good info..I am going to try to keep this short...
I said I will TRY.. no promises and NO Apologies! :)
This book is a book that you could read in a couple days. I have read it..then read it again to highlight a few things I want to remember and post about.
If you have kids of your own..or even if you babysit kids…or lets go as far as if you even know any kids..you know that they are a moving target! Who knows what is going through their brain or what they are planning to do next. I love in the book that Mark Batterson lets us know that we aren’t supposed to be perfect parents..no one is. He says once you get your kids figured out as babies..they turn into a toddler..then a preschooler..teenager…adult…then they have kids..What! How are we supposed to keep up? Keep patience? What if I make a mistake? What if I want to throw a temper tantrum?
One thing that we CAN do is “make sure our Heavenly Father hears about tour kids daily!”
Isn't that great!? I CAN do that..if I don't put veggies on our plate every night for supper or watch to much TV one day..I know at least my Heavenly Father will hear about my child every day!
If and shall I say when we do make a mistake…apologize. That isn’t wrong of you to apologize to your kids. That is how they learn to apologize for when they have done something wrong. I have apologized to my daughter plenty of times and she is only four! I have also seen grown adults who can NOT apologize even when they know they are wrong...maybe they were never taught. Hmm?
The most important words in my house is “ please, sorry, thank you and I love you!” Mark hits on those to..those words can make you a good friend, a good spouse, and a person of good character in your life.
Prayer turns ordinary parents into prophets who shape the desinies of their children, grandchildren and every generation that follows
I am positive most people has had a grandma somewhere back in the line that has prayed until she fell asleep at night..Marks believes that every blessing, every breakthrough, every miracle traces back to the prayers that were prayed by you or for you
So start that legacy in your own family…start praying for breakthoughs when needed..miracles to happen and blessings to fall upon your generations to come!
I will tell you I go to church every Sunday and Wednesday…and would be there more if they had more services and there is nothing like the feeling of hearing some else pray for you and your needs..even if they have no idea what is going on..just to hear them pray for me..for God to help me..is powerful.
Here is a question you might have..when and how do I become a praying parent? After work, cleaning, laundry, cooking, dishes, baths, bedtime ...I fall out asleep before my head hits the pillow..When do I have time to pray?
You aren’t a praying parent by default. You do it by design, by desire, by discipline…it takes sheer determination…if you determin to circle your children in prayer you will shape their destinies and your pryaers will live on in their lives long after you die.
Pray while your cooking and cleaning...Pray with your children during bedtimes...You can do it!
What is it about circles?
There is nothing magical about physically circling something in prayer but there is something biblical about it.
Have you heard of Honi?
He is in the Bible..shortly..but he is there and he is inspirational!
There was a time where people were praying for rain..they needed it! They had prayed but quickly gave up hope. Honi was a scholar and had a great relationship with God..so the people asked Honi to pray for rain. So Honi, the confident man he was in His God's ability, took his stick and drew a circle around himself and prayed for rain. In his prayer he told God that he was not going to leave that circle until it rained. Now that is dedication. I'm sure he sat there for a while..to test his faith. After a while..it started to sprinkle. Honi said No..I said rain! I'm not leaving this circle until it RAINS! Long story made short...it rained.
When we pray ..we want answers..like now. If we don’t get some kind of answer..soon..yes, no…something..we give up. We need to continue that circle of prayer until we get an answer. A circle never ends..pray without ceasing..pray until God answers…don’t just pray for…pray through until you know what to do!
When you become a praying parent ..your children will follow in your footsteps..You will become their prophet. Give them moments to pray ...Children has a special relationship with God and they will surprise you at what they say one time or another.
Let them pray how they want..for whatever they want..guide them but let them talk to Jesus too. We pray for our dog's health every night.. You know what? We have never had a sick dog!
If you teach your children to pray..You have made a prayer circle. Their simple innocent words can make the most sense sometimes in a world full of chaos. Don't just involve your children...Make a prayer circle with other moms.
One word of advice to parents: form a prayer circle with other parents, Covenant to pray for each other's children's. Why parents? Because no one can pray for children like parents! They have similar heartbreaks and hopes. They love their children just like you love yours.
One example that Mark Batterson gives is Aaron and Hur. Aaron and Hur were the ones who held up Moses arms during battle when Moses had lost his strength. When Moses arms lowered the Isrealite army lost ground..but as long as his hands were lifted towards Jesus the army was victorious. Let others be your Aaron and Hur..Be an Aaron or Hur to someone else! We all need someone like that!
Here are a few of my favorite quotes from this book:
Prayer is the way we write the future. IT is the difference between letting things happen and making things happen.
The purpose of prayer is not to outline our agenda to God, the purpose is to get into God's presence and get God's agenda for us.
100 percent of the prayers you don't pray ..won't get answered
I know this wasn't exactly short...but if you made it this far..it is over.. and Thank you for reading!!
I hope I encouraged you to get this book..and if you are wondering ...even with all I just posted about..I still didn't give away all the book goodies! So go grab it and let me know what you think!

Sunday Faith
I have been a part of the Good Morning Girls Bible Studies the past few studies they have had. I started in Colossians..which was a great study and now we are doing an Advent Study to prepare our hearts for Christmas..
If you would like to join me in this study leave me a message or comment and I will get you right into our Facebook group and get you started.
This week starts Advent...the waiting of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Waiting..isnt that the most exciting part?
Like a kid waiting for Christmas morning..you BEG to open just one present on Christmas eve night because you just can't stand the excitment anymore!
That is Advent..
Advent..is the excitement of knowing that soon..Jesus was born..to give us hope..in a world where we can not succeed without him.
Last week we started our Advent Study .. to prepare for this first week of our Advent season...We talked on the topic of Hope.
I know I take that word and use it out of context sometimes...
like..
I hope we have enough money for Christmas this year
I hope that I have energy to get the house spotless today...
That isn't hope..
My hope should be Jesus.. My hope is Jesus...
Anything I hope...should be put in Jesus name.
What else can you put hope into?
Money
New Homes
Cars
Other people
All that fades away..
God had everything planned before he started anything.. We exsist because he had us planned. We are unique individuals because of Him. We all have our own purpose in life if we follow his light..His light...His word..will guide us on the path that he has planned for us...specifically for each of us...for you...for me.
Isaiah 60: 19
The sun will no more be your light by day nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you for the Lord will be your everlasting light and God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again and your days of sorrow will end.
Wow.. We don't need the light of sun ...God will be our light.. We won't have to worry about days of sorrow ...God will be our glory.
He is Hope..
for me
for you
for our world
Hope that our days will be full of joy
Romans 15: 13
May the God of Hope fill you with joy and peace as you trust him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
He will fill us with JOY and PEACE as we trust him...We have to trust him..He has everything planned ..He told everyone in Jeremiah 33 that "The days are coming..that there will be a righteous branch sprout from David's line" ..that was Jesus coming to us. That was our Hope!
I know today that I am nothing without my light .. and I plan to see the light of Jesus, my Hope, everyday in everything (another great plug for Ann Voskamps book "One Thousand Gifts" ..it opens your eyes to everyday things that is our Joy) ...I plan to live my life like I am counting down the days to the next coming of Jesus..because it is coming..Just like in Jeremiah God told us in Revelation that there will be a new Earth..Isn't that exciting!? I can't wait to see it..a place where we won't need the sun or the moon..a place of no sorrows.. we will have God. light, HOPE!
Another great site to get Biblical motivation and Hope through God is is What Christians Want to Know
Have a Blessed Sunday!

A Christmas Challenge: The Last Well
I wrote a post earlier about participating in the Good Morning Girls Advent Study..which we would love for you to join with us..but not only are we aiming to get into God's Word together..we are aiming to change the world together!!
And We Can!
Today I’m inviting you to join Good Morning Girls and myself along with my bible study group of women to change an ENTIRE NATION in the name of Jesus!!!
Good Morning Girls has teamed up with a Christian organizatioin called The Last Well who is on a mission to provide clean water to the entire country of Liberia! And in addition to giving out water they plan on sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ to every one they meet!!
Good Morning Girls have over 16.000 women who participate in their bible studies. A ministry of women uniting to make the habit of having one on one time with God and holding friends accountable who need it. I love being a part of this group and just this past study I have had the privilege of leading my own group which has blessed me greatly! With 16,000 women spreading the word ... we could serve water to that whole country in no time!
So far, TLW has reached over 200,000 men, women and children in Liberia with water and the Gospel. Their goal: To reach every Liberian with water and the Gospel by the end of this decade! I believe we can help them meet this goal even FASTER and thereby help save more lives in the process!
Here is Angela of Good Morning Girls sitting down to talk with Tod Phillips, the founder of The Last Well
Here is a little info from the Good Morning Girls blog:
Why this organization?
- It meets a basic need. Clean water. Men, women and children are dying because they don’t have the very basics…..clean water.
- Local men and women in the communities are trained how to dig, maintain and repair the wells that are created through this organization.
- The money we raise is MATCHED!
- We are able to track how much money has been raised through GoodMorningGirls from our own personal site! (Check it out)
- Jesus the “Living Water” is shared with the people in these communities as their need of physical water is met.
- It’s the first physical building block in helping a community become healthier. Everything else like health, food and livelihood builds upon it.
- Unsafe water is the world’s number one killer…..it kills more people every year than all forms of violence, including war!
- Of the thousands of people who die daily from this problem, 90% are children under the age of five. As a mom of 3 girls ages 6,5, and 1, I feel compelled to stand in the gap for these children and do something about this issue!
- The hard truth: These deaths are preventable….with access to clean water.
Check out this video on why Todd chose this country.
How much does one well cost?
- ONE dollar gives ONE Liberian clean water for ONE year. How many people can you help?
- Purchase a water well for a community in Liberia for $3000. The average well serves 1000 people!
- Purchase a bio-sand water filter for one family in rural Liberia for $102. You can give an entire family clean water!
- Add The Last Well to your Christmas list.
- Talk with your family about The Last Well and give a family gift.
- Give up a Christmas gift(s) and instead donate the money to The Last Well.
- Invite your children to give up a Christmas gift(s) and donate the money to The Last Well.
- Have a “Happy Birthday Jesus” party with your friends and their kids. (I talk about this idea in our Advent eBook on page 40) Instead of having children bring gifts to donate, have them donate the money online and learn more about the need for clean water in Liberia, building awareness of how other children live around the world.
- Tell friends about THE LAST Well by sharing this graphic on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, informing more people of this wonderful organization and the great need of physical water and the “Living Water” in Liberia!
- PRAY! Pray God will use us mightily in this nation for HIS GLORY!
We are wanting to raise $10,000 and we are already up to $4,000 ....

Upcoming Bible Study: Advent-Keeping our hearts focused on Jesus
About 8 weeks ago I started a Bible Study with the Good Morning Girls. We took the book of Colossians and dissected it verse by verse. I made a small group of women on Facebook where we can go and share our thoughts along with gaining a tremendous amount of insight reading others thoughts! I honestly didn't think I would make it through the whole 8 weeks....but I did! I think a great reason for that is because of our accountability in our Facebook Group. I have grown to love those girls and feel like I know them all personally!
I’m so excited about the upcoming Bible Study on GoodMorningGirls.org !
It’s a 4 week Advent Study – Keeping Our Hearts Focused on Jesus,
It begins November 26th!
I would LOVE for you to join me and our group!
For this study..the Good Morning Girls Leadership Team has made a FREE Advent eBook which will guide us through our 4 week study. I am super excited about this fact..I already have plans to print it out and bind it like an actual study book!
The {GMG} Advent eBook includes:
- Weekly Devotions
- Assigned Scripture Reading
- Daily Family Activities
- Recipes
- S.O.A.P. Journal Pages
Anyone can get this ebook for the study..and did you hear me I said typed that it is Totally FREE!!

Nails...for me?
I haven't posted alot this week..actually at all this week.
I have had quite a bit on my mind. I've done alot of praying and reflecting this week.
Sunday at church we had a great pastor fill in while our pastor was away and he read an excerpt from Max Lucado's book "He Chose the Nails" (I think that is the book it came from..I plan on going to the bookstore this weekend and looking for it).
I wish I had recorded the part he read because it really touched me..
The short paraphrase version is:
If we made a list of all the sins we have done...every one of them...lying, cheating, unholy thoughts, coveting, unforgiveness....every one of them and wrote them down as a list on a piece of paper...it would probably be quite long.
Maybe yours wouldn't be....but mine would.
I am sure I do something or think something I shouldn't every day... Mine would be long.
But then we would take that list..and go to the cross.
The cross where Jesus chose the nails.
He chose to be humilated. He chose to be whipped. He chose it...for me. For Me.
He didn't try to hit the guards that pushing that crown of thorns down in his head.
He didn't struggle when they placed him upon the cross. He chose to stay calm and he chose to do so for me.
So the only thing I can bring to the cross is my failures...and put them right between Jesus perfect palm and the wood of an old rugged cross ...held by a nail.
But as that nail goes in...there will be blood...perfect sinless blood..that will drip down my list and made it uncomprehensable ...it will get harder and harder to read my list of sins...and before to long.. you won't be able to see them at all.
I don't even know what to say after that..
Is there anything to add to that?
I just sit and think of that image ...I thought of that image all week..and felt humbled...and empowered..and thankful... and oh so utterly sorry but oh so wonderfully loved
Have a great and wonderful weekend!!!

Why would you opt out to teach a child about Jesus?
if you don't know ...I am a preschool teacher...i have been for six years...not in the same place...i worked at a preschool with a boss....well let's just stop there because our last sunday school lessons was about being positive....
so .......i ........... am ..............thinking............positive
moving on
At the preschool where i work now...we go to chapel everyday....but on thursday we go to Brother Ronnie's (changed the name just in case). The kids look forward to this all week.
I teach two and three year olds...and they talk about it all week...until thursday finally gets here.
We sing songs...have fun...Bro Ronnie does a trick...we watch a movie...pray...and at the end they all get a treat! woo hoo! the kids love it!
Let me mention that my classroom is upstairs...and brother ronnie chapel is downstairs.
Again...don't forget that i have 12 two and three year olds.
Today...as usual...at our chapel time we walk downstairs to head over to bro ronnie chapel and i get stopped to find out that brother ronnie was not there today.
From what i hear..he doesn't call...or let anyone know that he isn't going to be there...we just have to ask around and find out for ourselves BEFORE we take 12.....yes....12 two and three year olds down a flight of stairs!!!!!
Kids are smart...they know schedules....they know when it is time to go to brother ronnie chapel....they want to know why we aren't today...why he didn't show up...is he sick...did he get a time out?
how do i answer.....uh.....he was just to busy today to teach you about Jesus?
um
no..
that doesn't sound good...
but what was the reason? Why would you schedule to do a chapel every thursday with a bunch of kids ...then bail on your responsibility. I know things happen...
The only reason i am writing this now is because i heard all last year...when i was just observing..that he done this all the time...and i can tell that alot of the teachers who have been there for a while...gets very aggrevated at this whole situation of him not showing up and not knowing when or when not to go downstairs with your whole class of children.
I know..of course he has his side of the story..which is completely understandable..i am just writing from what happened today with no notice and the behavior of my co workers.
For alot of kids...the chapel they go to in our preschool..is the only opportunity that they get to hear about Jesus...why would you opt out of teaching a child about Jesus?
I talk about Jesus to my students All Day Long! When we do colors, shapes, sing our ABC's ..whatever we are doing..I somehow incorporate Jesus into our day..all day. Whether it be we sing loud so Jesus can hear our praises...or we pray before everything to thank Jesus...we ask Jesus to watch over us at night so that we can all come back to school the next day and play...
whatever it is ...
I see no reason good enough to not jump on the chance to tell a little child about Jesus....
The kids you see today aren't our future....they are our present...and what we do in the present to these little minds...will shape our future...we can't just sit around and wait for our kids to grow older and hope that they can make our world better...we need to instill the values of our Lord in them now...raise them in the ways of the Lord now...they when they get older...the will not depart from it...
that is the ONLY thing that is going to make our world better....
so .......i ........... am ..............thinking............positive

At the well....We are the Body
Over At the Well...they are having a Bible Study called We Are The Body.
It is all about us learning what our part is ...and how to put it into action.
Todays subject was about accountability.
Do you have a friend that will keep you accountable?
I used to ...I worked with her..but now we have gone our seperate ways...we still talk but not as much as we used to.
I went to work this morning looking and asking God to show me what I needed to work on in my life since I really have NO one to keep me accountable.
And lo and behold...just like an old friends..God told me ...
1. I could be a little more joyous to my husband
2. I could focus a little more on reading my bible during my hour lunch break when I have nothing to do
3. I need to work on my patience...with everyone...actually my patience is fine..it is the devil tempting my patience and making me over react
4. I could start relying on God a little more....he is the Comforter...the Healer...the Protector..A Friend..A Father...He will take care of me..He is there to talk to ....He will give me anwers and advice when I need it.
5. Do what I can for my church...including paying tithes....
Isn't it wonderful how Jesus can be just like a friend you can just sit down and talk to ...You are never alone when you are a child of God...
He is never against you ...He is always for you....And if God is with you...who can be against you...He is the God of all Gods...
Which means if Buddah needs a miracle...he goes to God...
Jesus is the only wise God....which means all those other Gods are dumb gods..and I don't wanna worship a dumb god...I want to serve the only wise God!!!
Thank you Jesus!!
It is all about us learning what our part is ...and how to put it into action.
Todays subject was about accountability.

Nevertheless, not my will; but thine be done!

The past few days at my church we have had a mini..(scratch that MAJOR)...kinda unplanned spontaneous revival.
I love that about my church...they go with what they feel. Whatever God tells them to do..not matter how dumb it may seem to other people or how crazy it may seem to us..if God it telling you to do it...then do it!
We had an evangelist come in and preach to us on Saturday night about HIS JESUS. His Jesus...Jesus that was born in a stinky stable...to save us all. Today would you think some poor woman who had a kid in a stinky horse stable..would be the kid that would save your life? I don't think so. The Jesus that walked up in a graveyard and said ..Lazurus...Come to me...and raised him from the dead. THE DEAD??? I know we have heard this and heard this...many many times..and most of us could probably repeat the scripture. But what we have to realize is that the blood that was shed on the very day they nail MY SAVIOR to the cross ...is the same blood that covers me today. His blood back then healed the blind...the deaf...the dead!! And his blood can do all that today! It is just the same...Jesus is the same...today...yesterday...and forever.
Our problem is ...we have to believe it will be done! I am the first to say I am a skeptic about everything...so the reason my BIG prayers haven't been answered...it because I don't believe God will do it for me. Now I do! Thanks to Brother Mahaney!
In Luke 22:42 Jesus was telling God...You know I don't I don't to be naked...made fun of..humilated, whipped, nailed to a cross, suffocate to death, beaten, bruised, chastised!! So please God..take this from me...
Here is the scripture:
Saying Father if thou be willing remove this cup from me Nevertheless not my will but thine be done.
What I think now..thanks to our revival...is that Jesus looked further down the years and seen me and you and all our family and friends on this very day and seen that we need to be saved...the way this world is going...and they crazy things that are going on...we need JESUS.
He went through all of that ..for us! for me!
That is amazing...you know the story...you can recite it by heart...but really sit down and think about it...research what a real cruicifixion....it is horrible horrible death.
He wasn't beaten to death..he suffocated...because the way you are nailed the cross...your lungs can take in air..but it can't exhale air. So Jesus would have to put all his wieght on the nails on his feet to reach up to breathe...and to his very last breath...he was doing it all for us!
THANK YOU JESUS!!
